The next evolution in email for University of Kentucky users is Microsoft’s Office 365. Since some users prefer clients other than MS Outlook, here are the setting for using Mozilla’s Thunderbird as an IMAP client.
Using a page from Microsoft Support (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Outlook-settings-for-POP-and-IMAP-access-for-Office-365-for-business-or-Microsoft-Exchange-accounts-7fc677eb-2491-4cbc-8153-8e7113525f6c), I came up with these settings for Thunderbird:
Server Settings:
Server Type: IMAP Mail Server
Server Name: outlook.office365.com
Port: 993
User Name: linkblueid@nulluky.edu
Security Settings:
Connection security: SSL/TLS
Authentication method: Normal password
SMTP Settings:
