Symptoms
This issue occurs when an organizer uses a Polycom HDX8000 device to share video in the meeting. Then, the Microsoft Lync Web App plug-in crashes within two minutes.
Note When this issue occurs, users' audio and video fail, but the instant message feature still works.

Lync Web App is designed mainly for external partners, such as salespeople, who are invited to Lync meetings, but it is also useful for employees who are not at their usual computer at meeting time, or have not yet upgraded to Lync 2010. Resolution
To resolve this issue, get the November 2014 Cumulative Update 5.0.8308.834 for Lync Server 2013, web components server.
Note After you install this cumulative update, the user will not be prompted to install a new plug-in if a plug-in is already installed. To install a correct plug-in, the user must delete the existing plug-in.
